DOWSIL™ EP-5500 Powder by Dow is a stress relief additive and tribology modifier for POM-C/H/plastics used in EMC formulation. It is a cross-linked silicone rubber that offers stable long term (50%) COF reduction against several materials such as POM or steel, improved mechanical performance-, abrasion & mar resistance. It displays no slip-stick development.
- It shows efficiency at low loading, visual & aesthetic, improved injectability and processability.
- It is used in low and high speed applications, bearings, gears and conveyor belts, window lifting systems & steering column sensors, housings and roller shutter systems, kitchen & household appliances and sports equipment.
- The recommended dosage is 1-2 wt%.
- The shelf life of this DOWSIL™ EP-5500 Powder is 27 months.
