Mediaplast EV-F by Kettlitz Chemie is a high boiling carboxylic acid amide on aluminium hydroxide as carrier. Used for the treatment of very sticky polymers such as EVA compounds. EVA types with a vinyl acetate content of more than 40 % tend to stick to open mills, internal mixers and even extruder screws. For technical rubber parts which are produced by transfer or injection moulding, the injection time will be reduced and the sticking of rubber compound to moulds will be diminished. This gives a lower rejection rate and shorter working time. Automatic production of Mediaplast EV-F can often be run due to the better demoulding properties. Mediaplast PM by Kettlitz Chemie is a synthetic aromatic plasticizer based on polyalkylbenzene (bi- and trialkylated aromatics). It is free of sulfur & its derivates and has high degree of saturation, therefore the produced rubber articles show excellent mechanical properties. Due to very low setting point of
approx. - 50 °C, the finished products also have an extraordinary cold flexibility. Mediaplast PM is mainly recommended for the use in elastomers with low to medium polarity, i. e. NR, IIR, BR, SBR, EP(D)M for example, but also CR, CM/CSM, EVA and PNR. Mediaplast WH-P by Kettlitz Chemie is processing aid. It is composed of 75 % Mediaplast WH and 25 % of silica as carrier. Acts as processing aid and homogenizing agent with non-staining properties in order to improve the stickiness of synthetic rubber compounds. It improves rubber compound flow and increases the "green strength". Besides, Mediaplast WH-P acts as dispersing and homogenizing agent especially in bright or coloured polymer blends. Its plasticizing effect should be regulated with the amount of plasticizer used. Suitable for the use in hot melts and other adhesives, especially those produced from EVA and PVA dispersions. Polyalkylbenzene. Used in elastomers with low polarity like NR, IIR, BR, SBR, EP(D)M. Offers high aging resistance and very good mechanical properties. Provides very good cold flexibility. Dibenzyltoluen. Used as highly aromatic synthetic plasticizer. Used for the production of V-belts and special hoses (hydraulic machinery, cars etc.). Offers very good cold flexibility. Mediaplast NB-4 by Kettlitz Chemie is a special adipine acid plasticizer. Due to its relatively low volatility and extremely low setting point, it is suitable for heat-resistant as well as cold flexible rubber articles. Mediaplast NB-4 is used in polar polymers like NBR, H- and XNBR, CM/CSM, CR, ECO, etc. Mediaplast WH by Kettlitz Chemie is an aromatic synthetic resin of medium viscosity. It is yellow, viscid fluid with flowing properties at room temperature. Can be used as processing aid and homogenizing agent with non-staining properties in order to improve the stickiness of synthetic rubber compounds. Improves rubber compound flow and increases the "green strength". Mediaplast WH acts as dispersing agent especially in bright or colored polymer blends (e. g. shoe soles). Its plasticizing effect should be regulated with the amount of plasticizer used. Also suitable for the use in hot melts and other adhesives, especially those produced from EVA and PVA dispersions. Mediaplast AT by Kettlitz Chemie is a high boiling alcohol. Improves flow properties and reduces the tackiness of rubber compounds regardless of the polymer used. Processing of CR and ACM compounds in particular is significantly improved by adding a small amount of it. Mediaplast AT increases the demolding properties of technical rubber parts. The sticking of uncured compounds to internal mixers, open mills and conveyor belts will be visibly diminished by the use of it. Mediaplast PX-2 by Kettlitz Chemie is a semi-synthetic plasticizer based on long chain hydrocarbons with paraffinic character. It is non-staining and has excellent UV resistance. The chemical structure of the product is highly saturated which predestines the product to be used particularly for peroxide cured compounds. Its volatility is extremely low which provides significant advantages if applied to rubber compounds designed to resist high temperatures. Mediaplast PX-2 is recommended to use in elastomers with low polarity, e. g. NR, IIR, BR, SBR and EPDM. Mediaplast PS-1 by Kettlitz Chemie is a synthetic plasticizer based on polyalkylbenzene. It has non-staining properties, therefore even light or colored compounds can be produced. It is free of sulfur & its derivates and has high degree of saturation; therefore the produced rubber articles show excellent mechanical properties. Due to low setting point of approx. -24°C, the finished products have an extraordinary cold flexibility. Mediaplast PS-1 is mainly recommended for the use in elastomers with low to medium polarity, e. g. NR, IIR, BR, SBR, EP(D)M, but also CR, CM/CSM, EVA and PNR.
