Mediaplast PS-1 by Kettlitz Chemie is a synthetic plasticizer based on polyalkylbenzene. It has non-staining properties, therefore even light or colored compounds can be produced. It is free of sulfur & its derivates and has high degree of saturation; therefore the produced rubber articles show excellent mechanical properties. Due to low setting point of approx. -24°C, the finished products have an extraordinary cold flexibility. Mediaplast PS-1 is mainly recommended for the use in elastomers with low to medium polarity, e. g. NR, IIR, BR, SBR, EP(D)M, but also CR, CM/CSM, EVA and PNR.
