Mediaplast PX-2 by Kettlitz Chemie is a semi-synthetic plasticizer based on long chain hydrocarbons with paraffinic character. It is non-staining and has excellent UV resistance. The chemical structure of the product is highly saturated which predestines the product to be used particularly for peroxide cured compounds. Its volatility is extremely low which provides significant advantages if applied to rubber compounds designed to resist high temperatures. Mediaplast PX-2 is recommended to use in elastomers with low polarity, e. g. NR, IIR, BR, SBR and EPDM.
