Suitable for water-based and alcohol-based solutions. The hydroxypropyl content of this grade makes it compatible with polar organic solvents such as alcohol. It offers thermal gelation. It has a soft and lubricating feel. It manufactures solutions that are easy to spread and provides cling to vertical surfaces. METHOCEL™ E10M Premium is used to form flexible films that are resistant to oils and grease. It finds application in coatings and inks. METHOCEL™ A4C by IFF's Nutrition & Biosciences is a food-grade thickener based on a high purity, non-ionic methylcellulose (MC). It acts as a binder, lubricant, protective colloid, pigment suspension and film former. It shows improved adhesion, spreadability, homogeneity and rheology control. It provides gelation, reversible gelation with heating, elastic to brittle viscosity builder and a wide range of pH stability. It exhibits excellent film properties such as high tensile, strength and elongation. It improves workability, water-binding and water retention for construction coatings. It prevents friction through high lubricity. METHOCEL™ A4C is also recommended for inks. METHOCEL™ J12MS by IFF's Nutrition & Biosciences acts as a thickener with a high substitution level. It is a surface-treated hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. It offers improved adhesion, spreadability, homogeneity, rheology control and water-binding properties. It provides outstanding binding for organic and inorganic, crosslinking for high retentive gels and tolerates low salt levels. It possesses elastic to brittle viscosity builder, enhanced film formation and a wide range of pH stability. METHOCEL™ J12MS improves workability, stability and water retention in coatings and inks. METHOCEL™ A15LV Premium by IFF's Nutrition & Biosciences is a surface modifier and thickener based on methylcellulose. It is a water-soluble, non-ionic, cellulose ether polymer. It acts as a protective colloid and pigment suspension. It improves adhesion, spreadability, homogeneity, wet tack and fast dry properties. It provides crosslink-ability for high retentive gels and prevents friction through high lubricity. It exhibits good film properties such as high tensile, strength and elongation.
