METHOCEL™ A4C by IFF's Nutrition & Biosciences is a food-grade thickener based on a high purity, non-ionic methylcellulose (MC). It acts as a binder, lubricant, protective colloid, pigment suspension and film former. It shows improved adhesion, spreadability, homogeneity and rheology control. It provides gelation, reversible gelation with heating, elastic to brittle viscosity builder and a wide range of pH stability. It exhibits excellent film properties such as high tensile, strength and elongation. It improves workability, water-binding and water retention for construction coatings. It prevents friction through high lubricity. METHOCEL™ A4C is also recommended for inks.
