METHOCEL™ F50 Food Grade by IFF's Nutrition & Biosciences is hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) thickener and surface modifier with medium substitution. It is a water-soluble cellulose ether polymer. It acts as a protective colloid and pigment suspension aid. It offers enhanced binding, workability and water retention. It provides gelation, reversible gelation with heating and rheology control. It shows improved adhesion, spreadability, homogeneity, wet tack and fast dry properties. It is an elastic to brittle viscosity builder and prevents friction through high lubricity. METHOCEL™ F50 Food Grade is used in paper- general coatings and printing inks. Complies with FCC, EC, FAO/WHO, GRAS and U.S. FDA.
