Formacel™ S (HCFC-22) by Chemours is a chlorodifluoromethane (100% concentration)-based blowing agent. It is also used as a co-blowing agent in extruded polystyrene (XPS) insulation board. It is a high performing and lower ODP (ozone depletion potential) grade. It exhibits non-flammability and low boiling point. It can also be blended with HCFC-141b as a co-expansion agent, to produce foams with lower cost, superior dimensional stability and improved insulation value at low temperatures. This grade is a regulated HCFC (hydro-chlorofluorocarbon) product and available as a clear liquefied gas. Formacel™ S (HCFC-22) is suitable for polyurethane foam systems, insulated metal panels and doors, construction and appliance applications. It offers incompatibility with powdered metal salts, alkali-, alkaline earth- and powdered metals. Formacel™ Z2 (HFC-152a) by Chemours is 1-difluoroethane (100% concentration)-based blowing agent. It is a low-GWP, non-ODP and non-VOC product designed to deliver superior quality along with environmental performance. It is available in a colorless liquefied gas form. It exhibits good solubility, improved safety and flammability. It is suitable for extruded polystyrene (XPS) insulation board and foam, food packaging, graphics art board and specialty applications. Formacel™ Z2 (HFC-152a) is approved by FDA for food service and packaging. It is incompatible with powdered metal salts, alkali-, alkaline earth- and powdered metals. Formacel™ Z4 (HFC-134a) by Chemours is a chlorodifluoromethane (100% concentration)-based blowing agent. It is available in a colorless liquefied gas from. It exhibits excellent insulation values, low permeation, non-VOC nature and low molecular weight. It is a non-flammable compound with zero ozone-depletion potential and negligible photo-chemical reactivity.
