Viton™ FreeFlow™ Z110 by Chemours is a polymer processing aid. It combines improved fluoroelastomer rheology with polyethylene glycol (PEG) as an inter-facial agent to control the particle size delivered to the die. It reduces or eliminates melt fracture, lowers extrusion pressure and reduces amperage, torque & die buildup. It enhances rates of conditioning during start-up of new formulations on clean dies or purged systems and performance on difficult lines where other process aids require high levels. It increases additive efficiency particularly on lines where frequent formula changes are made or in formulas containing multiple additives, economics and extended running time between die cleanings. It can typically reduce PEG levels in
films by a factor of 3. Viton™ FreeFlow™ Z110 is suitable for use in dosage during production of solution LLDPE (either direct or via masterbatch) and high concentration masterbatches (2 to 4% process aid), particularly with LDPE carrier. It also finds application in all extrusion processes (film, pipe) using 3 MI or more LLDPE, LLDPE/LDPE blends or mLLDPE/LDPE blends, extrusion under low shear mixing condition. Viton™ FreeFlow™ RC by Chemours is fluoroelastomer-based, processing additive for narrow molecular weight LLDPE. It eliminates melt fracture, lowers extrusion pressure, and reduces extrusion torque & die buildup. It combines a lubricant to accelerate die conditioning on clean dies or purged systems with the die cleaning properties of Viton™ FreeFlow™ SC. It also incorporates improved chemistry to reduce interactions with other formulation ingredients. This additive offers improved additive efficiency, particularly on lines where frequent formula changes are made or in formulas containing multiple additives. It provides extended running time between die cleanings, improved performance in combined masterbatches with pigments and improved economics. Viton™ FreeFlow™ 10 by Chemours is a fluoroelastomer-based, processing additive. It offers process improvements in all types of polyolefins including HDPE, low density polyethylene (LDPE) and LLDPE. This additive offers elimination or minimization of surface imperfections (e.g., melt fracture) and reduction of die pressure & build up, power requirements & temperature. It provides increased output (at constant die pressure and temperature) and improved properties when narrow dies are used in place of wide dies to reduce orientation. The shelf life of Viton™ FreeFlow™ 10 is 4 years, at storage temperature below 27°C. Viton™ FreeFlow™ Z150 by Chemours is fluoroelastomer-based, polymer process aid. It improves rates of conditioning during start-up of new formulations on clean dies or purged systems. It enhances performance on difficult lines, where other processing aids require high levels in the broadest range of shear rate. It increases additive efficiency, particularly on lines where frequent formula changes are made or in formulas containing multiple additives. It helps in extending running time between die cleanings. It reduces die build-up, die-pressure, amperage, torque, melt fracture. Viton™ FreeFlow™ Z150 is used for low concentration masterbatches (typically, 2% process aid) in LLDPE carrier (5 MI or less) or can also be used up to 4% in highly-concentrated masterbatch. Recommended direct dosage during production of gas phase LLDPE (1.0 MI or more), solution phase LLDPE (either direct or via masterbatch) and all extrusion (pipe) processes using 3MI or less LLDPE, mLLDPE or HDPE, LLDPE/LDPE blends, or LLDPE/LDPE blends, including also pigment or anti-blocking agent. It is used for low concentration masterbatches (typically, 2-3% process aid) in LLDPE carrier with MI of 2 or more and can also be used in highly-concentrated masterbatch. It is easily dispersed due to fine particle starting point. The uniformity of low ratio blends is enhanced over pellet blends.
