Formacel™ Z2 (HFC-152a)

Formacel™ Z2 (HFC-152a) by Chemours is 1-difluoroethane (100% concentration)-based blowing agent. It is a low-GWP, non-ODP and non-VOC product designed to deliver superior quality along with environmental performance. It is available in a colorless liquefied gas form. It exhibits good solubility, improved safety and flammability. It is suitable for extruded polystyrene (XPS) insulation board and foam, food packaging, graphics art board and specialty applications. Formacel™ Z2 (HFC-152a) is approved by FDA for food service and packaging. It is incompatible with powdered metal salts, alkali-, alkaline earth- and powdered metals.
