Ultramid® Advanced N3U41G6 Uncolored Polyamide by BASF is a light colorable, halogen-free, soldering bath resistant, flame retardant polyphthalamide (PPA) grade. It possesses high melting point and very low water absorption. It offers excellent chemical resistance, dimensional stability and good mechanical- & dielectrical properties at elevated temperatures. It provides long-term performance, reliability and enhanced robustness against short-term temperature peaks in the assembly process. It is suitable for processing by injection molding.
- It is designed for manufacturing housings of IGBT (insulated-gate bipolar transistor) semi-conductors, allowing faster switching speeds and lower conduction losses.
- It is recommended for automotive, transportation, electronics, new energy electrical components, electric vehicles, high-speed trains, smart manufacturing and generation of renewable energy.
- It is also used in E & E modules, e-mobility, connectors, relay, passenger cars, switchgears, sensors, fuel cell, surface mount technology (SMT), energy distribution, consumer goods, home appliances and cell phone parts.
- Ultramid® Advanced N3U41G6 Uncolored Polyamide is also available as Orange RAL 2003.
