Terasperse® 2208 by Pflaumer Brothers acts as a dispersing agent for both organic and inorganic pigments. It offers high pigment/binder ratios, excellent color & gloss stability on aging of dispersions and a lower level of grinding resin that provides extra flexibility in formulating. Its hydrophilic and hydrophobic attributes, helps to optimize the dispersion of almost all pigments and extenders such as phthalo blue, phthalo green, synthetic iron oxide, quinacridone pigments and carbon black. <br>

It is effective with difficult-to-disperse pigments, such as carbon black and phthalo blue, in a wide variety of aqueous vehicles. It provides fast, efficient pigment dispersion without foaming problems. <br>
<ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>It is used in tint bases to improve color acceptance with many commercial universal colorant systems. </li>
<li>It is effective for dispersing high oil-absorbing pigments in aqueous systems. </li>
<li>Recommended dosage of Terasperse® 2000 for use with a phthalo blue in a water-reducible alkyd might be 1.5-2% based on the weight of pigment. </li></ul> It acts as a dispersing agent. It is developed as a highly versatile and efficient low-foaming acrylic dispersant. Provides a stable, uniform grind at a minimum mill base viscosity without the use of additional wetting agents or dispersants. It is compatible with ethylene glycol, propylene glycol and can be used in water-free, glycol-based grinds. Demonstrates excellent gloss retention, both before and after heat aging, with both acrylics and vinyl-acrylics. Compatible with reactive pigments such as zinc oxide and can be used as the sole dispersant. Such systems demonstrate excellent stability in terms of viscosity and grind. It is normally used at relatively low levels, foaming is minimized, secondary dispersants are not required and water resistance of the dry film is not affected. Recommended applications include pigments.
