Terasperse® 2000 by Pflaumer Brothers is a non-ionic surfactant, dispersant and wetting agent for water-based coating systems including latex emulsions and water-reducible resins. It is effective with difficult-to-disperse pigments, such as carbon black and phthalo blue, in a wide variety of aqueous vehicles. It provides fast, efficient pigment dispersion without foaming problems.
- It is used in tint bases to improve color acceptance with many commercial universal colorant systems.
- It is effective for dispersing high oil-absorbing pigments in aqueous systems.
- Recommended dosage of Terasperse® 2000 for use with a phthalo blue in a water-reducible alkyd might be 1.5-2% based on the weight of pigment.
