Tinuvin® 1130 provides efficient protection to light-sensitive substrates such as wood and plastics, due to of its broad UV absorption.

Recommended for automotive OEM-, exterior construction-, refinishes-, interior/exterior general industrial metal-, plastic component- and wood coatings for floor, furniture, or millwork applications.

Tinuvin® CarboProtect® by BASF is a very red-shifted, benzotriazole-based UV absorber. It is designed for solvent-based clear or semi-transparent coatings over carbon fiber-reinforced plastics (CFRP) or glass fiber-reinforced plastics (GFRP) where fibers are embedded in an epoxy matrix.

It offers excellent long term performance (photopermanence) and thermal stability.

Tinuvin® CarboProtect® blocks the destructive radiation from UV and near-UV visible light and keeps the matrix intact.

Tinuvin® CarboProtect® is recommended in binder systems such as 1K and 2K PUR (acrylic/NCO, PES/NCO), thermosetting (acrylic/melamine, PES/melamine) and thermoplastic (acrylic, vinylic) resins.

Tinuvin® 400 by BASF is a liquid hydroxyphenyl-triazine (HPT) UV absorber designed to fulfill the high performance and durability needs of solvent-borne coatings, 100% solids automotive and industrial finishes. It exhibits low color, migration, excellent photo-permanence and minimal interaction with metal catalysts and amine crosslinkers.

It provides excellent performance in coatings due to very high thermal stability and performance for coatings exposed to high bake cycles and/or extreme environmental conditions.

It offers hydroxy functionality to minimize migration, high photo-stability for long-life performance and high concentration for maximum efficiency.

It has been developed as an interaction-free UV absorber for use in amine and/or metal-catalyzed coating systems and coatings applied on base-coats or substrates containing such catalysts.

In combinations with a HALS such as Tinuvin® 123, 249 or 292, it enhances the protective effect, improves the durability of clear coats by retarding gloss reduction, delamination, cracking, and blistering.

Tinuvin® 400 is recommended for automotive refinish- and UV cured- and exterior construction coatings (roofing, etc.)

Tinuvin® PUR 866 by BASF is a high performance light stabilizer package. It shows excellent initial color, superior color retention during UV exposure, enhanced long-term thermal stability and easy dosability. It is suitable for transparent or light colored TPU applications. It offers UV stabilization for polyurethane coatings. It can also be used in polyurethane coatings on tarpaulin and flooring. Use level of Tinuvin® PUR 866 by BASF ranges between 0.1 % and 2.0 % depending on substrate and processing conditions. Tinuvin® 5251 by BASF is a blend of HPT UV absorber and a basic HALS. It is suitable for exterior applications. It is recommended for use in solvent-based industrial coatings including UV curable paints. Tinuvin® 5333-DW (N) by BASF is an aqueous dispersion of a blend of UV absorbers (UVA) and a hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS). It is developed for water-based systems and does not contain methylisothiazolinone (MIT). It exhibits excellent photo permanence and helps to formulate zero VOC product. It is easy-to-use and disperses homogeneously without co-solvents. No EUH 208 label (may cause allergic reactions) is required. It meets the increasing demand for high-performance light stabilizer to formulate durable coatings for exterior use.
