Tinuvin® 477-DW ECO by BASF is an aqueous preparation of a triazine-based UV absorber It is designed to meet highest performance and durability requirements of indoor and exterior (in combination with a HALS) architectural coatings. It provides red-shifted spectral absorbance, excellent long-term performance (photo-permanence), good thermal stability, and is non-migrating.
- It preserves dry-film properties such as inherent color, transparency, and gloss without affecting water sensitivity, blocking resistance, hardness, or scratch resistance.
- It disperses easily in water-based systems without settling during storage and containing no EUH 208 label, MIT, or zinc pyrithione.
- It is suitable for high-performance exterior joinery coatings, industrial wood coatings for furniture and flooring, and professional and DIY wood coatings.
- It is also recommended for overprint varnishes on metal, board, paper, and laminates, glass coatings and glass bonding layers, and water-based UV-curable systems.
- Tinuvin® 477-DW ECO has a shelf life of 18 months.
