Efka® PL 4720

Efka® PL 4720 by BASF is a high molecular weight acrylic dispersing agent prepared using controlled free radical polymerization (CFRP) technology. It is designed to stabilize both treated and untreated silica-based matting agents. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li> It is an acrylic block copolymer with pigment-affinic groups. </li> <li>It supports the development of ultra-matte, solvent-free UV coating formulations. </li> <li>It enables strong viscosity reduction, high matting efficiency, broad resin compatibility, and improved formulation stability. </li> <li>It delivers excellent stabilization of silica-based matting agents, even at very high matting agent concentrations. </li> <li>It helps achieve ultra-matte performance with low viscosity and low gloss while maintaining stability and processability. </li> <li>It is designed for 100% solvent-free radiation-curing coating systems. </li> <li>Its typical applications include industrial coatings, furniture finishes, flooring finishes, and 3C coatings. </li> <li>Efka® PL 4720 has a recommended dosage of 5–10% active additive based on the matting agent. </li></ul>

Efka® FL 3740

Efka® FL 3740 by BASF is a copolyacrylate-based leveling agent. It exhibits air release properties and eliminates or reduces cratering, fish eyes & orange peel. It improves flow, dispersion, and floating behavior. It prevents air entrapment and optimizes the wetting of the substrate. It modifies the surface tension of the coatings, due to its chemical structure. It is used in a non-aqueous, liquid- and powder coating system. It is also used in alkyd-, epoxy-, acrylic/melamine-, 2-component acrylic-, PVC-, polyurethane- and chlorinated rubber- coatings & nitrocellulose lacquers. The recommended dosage of Efka® FL 3740 is between 0.2 and 1.0% depending upon the formulation.

Efka® PX 4700

It efficiently disperses and stabilizes high-performance pigments. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>It is used in solvent-based systems. </li> <li>It provides excellent viscosity suppression and storage stability. </li> <li>It is suitable for high-performance applications such as dispersion of organic pigments in inkjet formulations, especially strong-solvent formulations. </li> <li>It is recommended for dispersing pigments in resins and for low- or resin-free pigment concentrates.</li> <li>Efka® PX 4700 has a shelf life of 4 years.</li></ul>

Efka® FA 4644

It reduces the interfacial tension between pigments or extenders and the vehicle. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>Provides stabilization of the pigment dispersion and decreases dispersion time and pigment sedimentation. </li> <li>Efka® FA 4644 increases gloss and improves flow. </li> <li>Used in solvent-borne and solvent-free coatings. </li> <li>Suggested for industrial coatings. </li> <li>The recommended dosage level for inorganic pigments is 0.2 – 2.0 % on pigment weight, for organic pigments is 2.0 – 5.0 % on pigment weight and for bentonite gels is 30.0 – 50.0 % on bentonite weight. </li></ul>

Efka® PX 4780

Efka® PX 4780 by BASF is a solvent-based, high-performance reactive dispersing agent based on advanced polymer technology. It is designed for automotive and industrial coatings segment. It is cross-linkable with isocyanate and melamine-based resin systems. It offers optimal hardness and improved solvent resistance. It exhibits exponentially lower pigment paste viscosity at lower addition levels, exceptional jetness for carbon black pigments and excellent gloss development. Efka® PX 4780 provides highest pendulum hardness (Irgazin Red/ PR 254 paste formulation).

Efka® MI 6780 (Old name: Efka® 6780) by BASF is a halogen-free, cationic compound used as a conductivity promoter. Efka® MI 6780 is used in coating systems containing polar and non-polar solvents. It is recommended for electrostatic sprayed paints.

Efka® SL 3288

Efka® SL 3288 by BASF is an organically modified polysiloxane. Acts as an abrasion resistant, anti-blocking agent, slip control agent, leveling agent and scratch resistance agent. It improves slip, leveling, surface smoothness and soft-touch effect. It shows minimal effect on foam stabilization and intercoat adhesion. Efka® SL 3288 is used in solvent-based, high gloss- and water-based industrial coatings. Recommended dosage is 0.02-0.2% for solvent-wood coatings, 0.05-0.3% for solvent based industrial coatings, 0.05-05% for UV curing system and 0.02-0.2% for water based paint.
