Dioctyl sebacate. Acts as an ester-type plasticizer. Compatible with acrylic rubber, chlorinated rubber, chlorosulfonated polyethylene, EPDM, hydrogenated nitrile, nitrocellulose, polychloroprene and polyvinyl chloride. It has been used for many years as a standard in vinyl compounds requiring low temperature flexibility. Offers low volatility, high plasticizing efficiency and excellent resistance to extraction by water, soaps as well as detergents. It is often used in combination with other plasticizers to improve the viscosity characteristics of vinyl plastisols and to improve low temperature properties. Dioctyl azelate. Acts as a plasticizer. It is an excellent low temperature dibasic acid ester. Compatible with chlorinated rubber, ethyl cellulose, nitrile and nitrocellulose. Monoplex® DOZ and Plasthall® DOZ are chemically same but differ in specifications. Offers excellent efficiency characteristics and has a tighter color specification. Used in gaskets applications. Dioctyl adipate. Acts as a highly efficient monomeric ester plasticizer. The compounds plasticized with it shows very good heat and light stability. Compatible with cellulose acetate butyrate, chlorinated rubber, ethyl cellulose, polychloroprene, polyvinyl butyral, polyvinyl chloride, nitrile and nitrocellulose. It is outstanding among the adipates on the market for low odor and taste characteristics. Imparts excellent low-temperature flexibility to compounds. It is often used to improve the viscosity and viscosity-stability characteristics of phthalate based plastisols.
