Supplied byHallstar- Last Updated on Dec 30, 2013

Dioctyl sebacate. Acts as an ester-type plasticizer. Compatible with acrylic rubber, chlorinated rubber, chlorosulfonated polyethylene, EPDM, hydrogenated nitrile, nitrocellulose, polychloroprene and polyvinyl chloride. It has been used for many years as a standard in vinyl compounds requiring low temperature flexibility. Offers low volatility, high plasticizing efficiency and excellent resistance to extraction by water, soaps as well as detergents. It is often used in combination with other plasticizers to improve the viscosity characteristics of vinyl plastisols and to improve low temperature properties.
