Therm-chek® RC-895P by Valtris Specialty Chemicals is a calcium-zinc heat stabilizer for plenum and riser jacket applications. It is a cost-effective replacement for lead-based heat stabilizers that do not require wet electrical properties. It does not require ESO as a co-stabilizer.<br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>The recommended dosage level is 4-6 phr for applications where exceptional color and heat stability are critical.</li> <li>The recommended dosage level is 1.5-2.5 phr for applications where exceptional color hold is not critical (ex. Therm-chek® VT-281L by Valtris Specialty Chemicals is a barium-zinc liquid heat stabilizer. It is used in the production of semi-rigid PVC film by calendaring. It is phenol-free and contains no substances with the potential to release phenol. It prevents free halogen from attacking the polymer systems or the processing equipment. It has high halogen absorber efficiency and is normally used in flame retarded systems. Applications of Therm-Chek® 832 include FR ABS systems, polystyrene and expanded polystyrene FR systems and PVC/ABS alloys.

It is non-sulfur staining, non-lubricating and will not cross-stain during compounding in the presence of lead, cadmium or other metals that form sulfides. It is recommended for rigid PVC extrusions and injection molded applications including pipe, siding, sheet, molded fittings and bottles. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>It may be used in both clear and pigmented applications. </li> <li>It is also recommended for flexible PVC formulations because of its excellent compatibility with all types of PVC copolymers and resin modifiers, as well as, with both phthalate and phosphate plasticizers. </li> <li>Combination of Therm-Chek® 845 with epoxy compounds shows synergistic heat stability. </li></ul>
