Therm-chek® VT-281L by Valtris Specialty Chemicals is a barium-zinc liquid heat stabilizer. It is used in the production of semi-rigid PVC film by calendaring. It is phenol-free and contains no substances with the potential to release phenol. It is recommended for flooring products that will pass the most stringent emission tests.
  • It is self-lubricating, but may require a small amount of external lubricant (such as stearic acid) for some applications.
  • In conjunction with epoxy plasticizer such as Plas-Chek® 775 epoxidized soybean oil, it enhances the long-term heat stability and color hold.
  • It is suitable for plastic processing, building & construction, wire & cable, auto components, belts & hoses, coated fabrics & textiles, textile inks & dyes, packaging, closures and caps.
  • Therm-chek® VT-281L is used in film & sheet, flexible toys & parts, flooring, roofing, lawn & garden, medical & pharmaceutical and plastisol compounds.
  • The recommended dosage level is 1-3 phr.
