SL PP LBS 5 by Polytechs is a masterbatch containing 5 % of a high molecular weight amide in PP homopolymer (MI 2) film grade. It has a low blooming slip effect and does not cause whitening of the film, which is not always the case when using standard erucamide masterbatch. Hot slip properties of the BOPP film are also improved when using AB PP LBS 5 compared to films containing standard slip masterbatch. It is used in CPP/BOPP films where low coefficient of friction is required. AB PP LBS 5 is added to the core layer of coextruded films. Typical percentage of AB PP LBS 5 in the core layer is 2.5 to 5%. SL PP ER 10 by Polytechs is a masterbatch containing 10% of refined erucamide in PP homopolymer (MI2) film grade. It is used in PP films (CPP, OPP and BOPP) and PP sheets, where low coefficient of friction is required. Typical dose concentrations are between 1 and 3% masterbatch SL PP ER 10 in the core layer. SL PP ER 10 can also be used in the skin layer of heat sealable films between 1-2%. Erucamides is food approved for a number of applications. SL AS PP 20 by Polytechs is a masterbatch containing 20 % of a blend of slip and antistatic agents in PP homopolymer (MI 2) film grade.
It has a combination of slip (6%) and antistatic agents (14%). It is recommended when both short and long term antistatic effect is required. It has a very good process heat stability and minimum volatility in the TDO. It is used in BOPP films, where low coefficient of friction and antistatic properties are required. SL AS PP 20 is recommended for the core of coextruded films. Typical percentage of SL AS PP 20 in the inner layer is 1 to 3%. SL AS PP 20 can be used with AB PP 5S or AB PP 10S in the skin layer.
