Complies with biodegradability according to EN 13432 and is fit for food contact applications. BIOPLAST® 105 by Biotec is a new kind of plasticizer cherfreien thermoplastic material. It has an excellent shelf life, helps produce items that are completely biodegradable in an industrial or domestic composting environment. Is recyclable and can be incinerated. Films made with it are printable by flexographic and offset printing without pre-treatment, heat sealable, have a soft touch and can be colored with master batches. Films mainly consist of renewable raw material and can be drawn down to below 15 µm. Recommended for short life packaging, multi-use carrier and loop-handle bags, single-use bio-waste bags, bin liners and agricultural films. Contains 58% of renewable raw material and has a bio-based carbon share of 51% according to ASTM D6866. Certified and registered by Vinçotte according to EN 13432 with the ‘OK compost’ and ‘seedling’ logo. Completely new, plasticizer-free thermoplastic material. Allows the production of films with paper-like properties. As a result of plasticizer absence no material built-up or steam occurs during processing of BIOPLAST WRAP 100. The complete biodegradability and other functional properties of BIOPLAST WRAP 100 enable the converter to advance in production areas, which could not be reached with traditional thermoplastic materials or paper. The potato starch used for BIOPLAST WRAP 100 is native and not blended with plasticizer (which would be necessary for example to produce thermoplastic starch, TPS). BIOPLAST WRAP 100 therefore exhibits outstanding processing- and performance-characteristics as well as an excellent shelf life. Used in film and food packaging. Plasticizer-free thermoplastic material. It is derived from potato starch and is GMO-free. BIOPLAST 2149 is easy flowing
and therefore particularly suitable for processing by injection
molding to produce items that are completely biodegradable and recyclable. The material can also be converted by sheet and film extrusion. The absence of plasticizer allows the material to be easily processed to manufacture stable products of consistent quality. BIOPLAST 2149 has an excellent shelf life but will biodegrade readily in an industrial composting environment. The products made of BIOPLAST 2149 are printable by flexographic and offset printing without pretreatment as well as can be colored with masterbatches and are sealable (hot, RF, ultra sonic). It can be used for injection molded articles (e.g. cutlery, medical devices, clips, semi-finished products), thermoformed products (e.g. food trays)and blend partner in combination with other BIOPLAST materials (e.g. BIOPLAST GF 106/02). BIOPLAST® TPS by Biotec is a potato starch resin. Despite being greater than 85% starch, it can be extruded into gels, foams and even sheet. Has a very good permeability for water vapor and at the same time excellent barrier properties for oxygen as well as carbon dioxide. It is GMO-free. Can be processed solely as well as being blended with other polymers. Is manufactured of pure food ingredients and can be produced according to the hygienic requirements for food production. Due to its composition, it is edible, digestible, water soluble and completely biodegradable. BIOPLAST® TPS is used in foamed trays and bowls for fast food packaging, disposable packaging, hamburger boxes, foam moldings, water soluble form part and swallow moldings.
