BIOPLAST® TPS by Biotec is a potato starch resin. Despite being greater than 85% starch, it can be extruded into gels, foams and even sheet. Has a very good permeability for water vapor and at the same time excellent barrier properties for oxygen as well as carbon dioxide. It is GMO-free. Can be processed solely as well as being blended with other polymers. Is manufactured of pure food ingredients and can be produced according to the hygienic requirements for food production. Due to its composition, it is edible, digestible, water soluble and completely biodegradable. BIOPLAST® TPS is used in foamed trays and bowls for fast food packaging, disposable packaging, hamburger boxes, foam moldings, water soluble form part and swallow moldings.
