TRISTAR® PC-10FR by Amco Polymers is an amorphous, naturally transparent (to light), flame retardant polycarbonate resin with good mold release. Exhibits good thermal resistance, high heat resistance, fair chemical resistance but relatively high viscosity and low melt flow. Possesses good tensile strength, toughness, color stability, flexural strength, flexural modulus and heat deflection temperature. Shows good impact strength, tensile elongation and good electrical insulating properties. Offers excellent dimensional stability and good processability with low mold shrinkage and low mold temperature. It can be processed by injection molding. Suitable for electric meter, housings & covers, casket hardware, portable tool housings, safety helmets, computer parts and vandal-proof windows & light globes. Has applications in equipment housings, exterior automotive components such as outdoor lighting fixtures, nameplates & bezels, non-automotive vehicle windows, brackets & structural parts, medical supply components and plastic lenses for eyeglasses. TRISTAR® PC-10FR complies with European RoHS/WEEE and EC 1907/2006 REACH regulations.
