TRISTAR® PC-08 by Amco Polymers is an amorphous polycarbonate resin. Exhibits good thermal resistance, high heat resistance and fair chemical resistance but high viscosity and low melt flow. Possesses good tensile strength, toughness, color stability, flexural strength, flexural modulus and heat deflection temperature. Shows good impact strength, tensile elongation and good electrical insulating properties. Offers excellent dimensional stability and good processability with low mold shrinkage and low mold temperature. It can be processed by extrusion. Suitable for electric meter, housings & covers, casket hardware, portable tool housings, safety helmets, computer parts and vandal-proof windows & light globes. TRISTAR® PC-08 has applications in equipment housings, exterior automotive components such as outdoor lighting fixtures, nameplates & bezels, non-automotive vehicle windows, brackets & structural parts, medical supply components and plastic lenses for eyeglasses. Complies with European RoHS/WEEE and REACH regulations.
