PTS Tristar® PC-10GFR by Amco Polymers is an amorphous, naturally transparent (to light) polycarbonate reinforced with 10% glass fiber. Exhibits good mold release, good thermal resistance, high heat resistance and fair chemical resistance but relatively high viscosity and low melt flow. Possesses high strength, tensile strength, toughness, color stability, flexural strength, flexural modulus and heat deflection temperature. Has decreased impact strength and tensile elongation but good electrical insulating properties. Offers excellent dimensional stability and good processability with low mold shrinkage and low mold temperature. It can be processed by injection molding. Suitable for electric meter, housings & covers, casket hardware, portable tool housings, safety helmets, computer parts and vandal-proof windows & light globes. Has applications in equipment housings, exterior automotive components such as outdoor lighting fixtures, nameplates & bezels, non-automotive vehicle windows, brackets & structural parts, medical supply components and plastic lenses for eyeglasses. PTS Tristar® PC-10GFR by Amco Polymers complies with European RoHS/WEEE regulations, REACH regulations and is approved by QAS International management systems, standards and guidelines and ISO 9001:2008.
