AKROTEK® PAEK CF 30 is a semi-crystalline PAEK (polyaryletherketone) grade reinforced with 30% carbon fiber. Provides a good combination of high impact strength, tensile strength and flexural strength. Exhibits good chemical resistance, excellent hydrolysis resistance and barrier properties against liquids and gases. Shows high heat distortion temperature (above 300°C) and good resistance to aggressive substances such as acids, bases, glycol, solvents, ammonia, engine oil etc. Is processed by injection molding or extrusion and can be used in unfavorable wear and friction situations for applications requiring metal replacement and weight reduction. Used in aviation industry (interior trim, seat components, fasteners), in automotive industry (gearbox/clutch/chassis components), in renewable energy industry (heat pumps, pipe couplings, hose connectors). Also suitable for electric/electronic applications (cable coatings, contact strips, plug-in connectors), medical uses (orthopaedic accessories, laboratory equipment) and industrial components (pump/compressor components, sealing rings and transport systems).
