SST® –5 by Shamrock Technologies is a white low molecular weight PTFE micropowder with particle size distribution at a mean value of 3 µm. Acts as a slip, mar/scuff, rub and abrasion resistance agent. Provides slip (low COF), high temperature resistance, gloss retention, rub and abrasion resistance properties. SST® –5 is recommended for use in offset inks. SST®-5 is also recommended for all water-based, solvent-based, powder, and UV systems at 0.5-3% of the total formula weight (or 0.5-1% when used with 2-3% of Shamrock’s S Series waxes). It meets the requirements of 21 CFR 175.105, 175.300, 176.170, and 176.180. SST® 3 by Shamrock Technologies is a micronized PTFE powder. Insoluble, heat resistant, easy to incorporate and highly efficient. Used in web printing, sheet-fed lithographic metal decorating inks, can, coil, industrial and UV coatings. SST® –4D by Shamrock is a white low molecular weight PTFE powder with a particle size mean value of 3 µm. Acts as a slip, mar/scuff, rub and abrasion resistance agent. Provides slip (low COF), high temperature resistance, gloss retention, rub and abrasion resistance properties. It has a tightly controlled particle size distribution, resulting in fewer oversized particles. SST® –4D is recommended for use in offset inks and thin film coatings. SST®-4D is also recommened for use in water-based, solvent-based, powder, and UV systems at 1-2% of the total formula weight. It meets the requirements of 21 CFR 175.105, 175.300, 176.170, and 176.180. SST® –3D by Shamrock is a white low molecular weight PTFE powder with a particle size mean value of 5 µm. Acts as a slip, scratch, rub and abrasion resistance agent. Provides slip (low COF), high temperature resistance, scratch-, rub and abrasion resistance properties. SST® –3D by Shamrock is recommended for use in offset and liquid inks. SST®-3D is also recommeneded for use in powder, water-based, solvent-based and UV coatings at 0.5-3% of total formula weight when used alone, or at 0.5-1% when used with 2-3% synthetic wax. SST® –3PS by Shamrock is a charcoal gray colored low molecular weight PTFE powder with a particle size mean value of 5 µm. Acts as a slip, mar/scuff, rub and abrasion resistance agent. Provides slip (low COF), high temperature resistance, gloss retention, rub and abrasion resistance properties. SST® –3PS is recommended in offset and liquid inks. SST®-3PS is also recommeneded for use in powder, water-based, solvent-based, and UV coatings. The recommended dosage of SST®-3PS in ink formulations is 0.5-1% of the total formula weight when used with wax. In coatings SST®-3PS is recommened at 1-2% of total formula weight. SST® –4P by Shamrock is an off-white to light gray low molecular weight PTFE powder with a particle size mean value of 3 µm. Acts as a slip, mar/scuff, rub and abrasion resistance agent. Provides slip (low COF), high temperature resistance, gloss retention, rub and abrasion resistance properties. SST® –4P is used in both the inks and thin-film coatings applications due to its small particle size. SST®-4P is recommended in offset and liquid inks. SST®-4P is also recommended for use in powder, water-based, solvent-based, and UV coatings. Typical applications include can and plastic coatings. Micronized PTFE powder. Used in printing inks and industrial coatings. <b>SST-2V / 3V</b> by <b>Shamrock</b> is a polytetrafluoroethylene wax. Acts as a slip control agent and abrasion resistance agent. Provides an optimal balance of slip and abrasion resistance. <b>SST-2V / 3V</b> by <b>Shamrock</b> is used in powder coatings. Micronized PTFE powder. Insoluble, heat resistant, easy to incorporate and highly efficient. Used in printing inks, industrial, coil, and UV coatings. High performance PTFE. Provides optimum slip and rub/abrasion resistance. Used in liquid, paste inks, can, coil, industrial and UV coatings.
