SST® –4D by Shamrock is a white low molecular weight PTFE powder with a particle size mean value of 3 µm. Acts as a slip, mar/scuff, rub and abrasion resistance agent. Provides slip (low COF), high temperature resistance, gloss retention, rub and abrasion resistance properties. It has a tightly controlled particle size distribution, resulting in fewer oversized particles. SST® –4D is recommended for use in offset inks and thin film coatings. SST®-4D is also recommened for use in water-based, solvent-based, powder, and UV systems at 1-2% of the total formula weight. It meets the requirements of 21 CFR 175.105, 175.300, 176.170, and 176.180.
