It is suitable for the formulation of heat-resistant anti-corrosive coatings and heat-stable anti-stick finishes. Compatible with straight methyl silicone resins or oils. It is recommended for applications including waste gas stacks, blast furnace gas pipes and cracking plants. Coatings based on CoatOSil™ M120XB can dry at room temperature so it has excellent weather stability and release properties.

CoatOSil™ Resin P501

Recommended for the formulation of coatings for machine components, fire doors, engine manifolds, car exhaust silencers and drying units using one-coat finishes. It is partly compatible with the UD range and organic binders. It can also be used in multi-coat finishing systems for industrial plants. Dry tack-free coatings formulated with CoatOSil™ Resin P501 exhibit good mechanical and corrosion resistance and weather stability. It has a shelf life of 720 days.

CoatOSil™ DRI Waterborne Silicone

CoatOSil™ DRI Waterborne Silicone by Momentive Performance Materials is a low viscosity silicone emulsion. It can help to reduce water uptake and improve UV resistance in organic waterborne coating systems. Its chemical structure allows formulators to bridge the traditional difficulties of combining silicone materials with organic waterborne resins. CoatOSil™ DRI Waterborne Silicone is used in architectural-, wood-, and concrete coatings.<br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>It can also be considered as a sole binder when maximum thermal and UV stability is a priority. <li>When applied alone, it cures at room temperature to form an elastomeric film. <li>It offers tannin resistance, enhanced mar resistance and low VOC. <li>It improves hydrophobicity and elongation properties when used as a co-binder with acrylic latexes, resulting in more flexible coatings. <li>It is compatible with a variety of waterborne polymer systems including acrylics, styrene acrylics, epoxies, PUDs and alkyds.</li> <li>Recommended dosage level is 5% as an additive, or up to 30% when used as a co-binder in latex systems. Ladder study is recommended to determine optimum dosage based on performance.</li></ul>
