Cumyl peroxyneodecanoate. It acts as an initiator (radical source) for the polymerization and co-polymerization in bulk or suspension of monomers, in particular vinyl chloride. It appears as a milky white emulsion, which is de-sensitized with water and has a molar mass of 306,4 g/mol. It provides particular advantages like non-oxidizing, liquid (therefore easy to dose) and high activity. A constant rate polymerization of over the entire reaction period can be achieved in combination with thermally more stable peroxides e.g. peroxydicarbonates. CUPND 75-AL by United Initiators is cumyl peroxyneodecanoate. It acts as an initiator (radical source) for the polymerization and copolymerization in bulk or suspension of monomers, in particular vinyl chloride. It appears as a colorless, mobile liquid, which is de-sensitized with aliphatic hydrocarbons and has a molar mass of 306,4 g/mol. It is readily miscible with high boiling aliphatic hydrocarbons. It provides particular advantages like non oxidizing, liquid (therefore easy to dose) and high activity. A constant rate polymerization of over the entire reaction period can be achieved in combination with thermally more stable peroxides e.g. peroxydicarbonates.
