Norox® MEKP-30 by United Initiators is an excellent liquid initiator for the polymerization of vinyl monomers and is particularly useful in the room temperature cure of polyester resins. In this application Norox® MEKP-30 imparts high exotherm characteristics to the cure.
TAPEH by United Initiators is tert. amylperoxy-2-ethyl hexanoate. It acts as an initiator (radical source) in the polymerization of monomers, e.g. ethylene, styrene, allyl monomer and (meth)acrylates for bulk or suspension in combination with thermally more stable peroxides. It is liquid therefore, easy to dose and readily miscible with high boiling aliphatic. TAPEH appears as a colorless mobile liquid having a molecular weight of 230.3 g/mol.
TAHP-88 by United Initiators is an initiator for the polymerization of monomers preferably in emulsion polymerization processes for e.g. vinyl acetate or (meth-)acrylates. It consists of approximately 88% tert-amyl hydroperoxide desensitized with water. It is also used for acrylic resin paint dispersions, styrene/butadiene or acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene in combination with suitable reducing agents like Fe salts. TAHP-88 has a shelf-life of 12 months. Recommended dosage level is 0.1-0.5%.
