SYLVAROS™ DRS 42 Disproportionated Rosin Soap by KRATON is an emulsifier used in SBR polymerization. It is a catalytically disproportionated tall oil rosin potassium soap. It converts abietic acid into the more oxidation resistant dehdroabietic acid isomer. The low abietic acid content minimalizes interaction with the catalyst-initiator system and does not influence the polymer chain length of the SBR rubber.

It offers stability against phase separation at 0°C. SYLVAROS™ DRS 214K is also suitable for aqueous systems and used in preparation of pigments.
