Biostrength® 280 by Arkema is an acrylic core shell transparent impact modifier. It increases impact strength of polylactic acid extruded, calendered, blow molded, 3D printing and thermoformed articles. It is designed to increase toughness of PLA while maintaining clarity. It maintains low haze in PLA. Recommended use level of Biostrength® 280 is 2% to 6% by weight. Biostrength® 150 by Arkema is a core shell impact modifier. It increases impact strength of polylactic acid for use in sheet extrusion, calendering, injection molding and thermoforming. It retains high impact properties at low temperatures. It is recommended for use in PLA for opaque applications or applications that do not require high transparency. It's typical use levels range from 2% to 15% by weight. Biostrength® 150 can be supplied as a masterbatch in PLA. Biostrength® 900 by Arkema is an acrylic copolymer. It acts as a processing aid. It improves metal release and enhances processability of polylactic acid (PLA). It maintains high clarity in PLA at typical use levels. It is used in extrusion, calendering, blow molding, thermoforming and foaming applications. Biostrength® 900 recommended use levels range from 1% to 5% by weight. It can be supplied as a masterbatch in PLA.
