Durastrength® 4000

Durastrength® 4000 by Arkema is a multifunctional, acrylic-based impact modifier. It imparts excellent impact properties to rigid PVC products and offers outstanding processability. It offers faster fusion than alternative non-acrylic impact modifiers without the need for additional processing aids. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>It exhibits great impact resistance, and low melt viscosity. </li> <li>It provides good stability, smooth processing and high output rates in vinyl formulations. </li> <li>It offers sustainable performance with a reduced carbon footprint of up to 35% compared to traditional acrylic additives. </li> <li>It uses patented technology to reduce the ratio of fossil materials and lowers energy consumption in production processes.</li> <li>It can be used in place of CPE impact modifiers while maintaining the processing advantages of traditional acrylic impact modifiers.</li> <li>Substrate applications utilizing Durastrength® 4000 maintain important mechanical properties for final PVC product performance.</li> <li>It is recommended for rigid siding, ribbed pipe, fence and deck substrate.</li></ul>

Clearstrength® XT100

Clearstrength® XT100 by Arkema is a high performance toughening agent designed for thermosetting resins. It is methylmethacrylate-butadiene-styrene (MBS) core-shell optomized for (meth)acrylics, epoxies, and polyesters. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"> <li>It has low viscosity and excellent processability at low temperatures, enabling energy savings and broad compatibility with a wide range of monomers. </li> <li>It is easily dispersible in most liquid resin systems at very low shear rates and exhibits a limited impact on their viscosity.</li> <li>It yields superior toughness and shear adhesion strength in high Tg epoxy (Tg>200°C) than standard MBS powder.</li> <li>Clearstrength® XT100 can be advantageously used to replace standard core/shell modifier powders but also liquid masterbatches of pre-dispersed core/shell particles.</li></ul>
