Biostrength® 900 by Arkema is an acrylic copolymer. It acts as a processing aid. It improves metal release and enhances processability of polylactic acid (PLA). It maintains high clarity in PLA at typical use levels. It is used in extrusion, calendering, blow molding, thermoforming and foaming applications. Biostrength® 900 recommended use levels range from 1% to 5% by weight. It can be supplied as a masterbatch in PLA.
