PEXIDAN® L/T ECLIPSE by SACO AEI Polymers is a high density, moisture curable polyethylene compound. It is based on PEX system consisting of a silane grafted base-compound A-1001 and a catalyst masterbatch CAT-003 (or A-1022 and CAT-117). It is available in single layer black or two-layer colored versions, and red, white & blue colors and offers resistance to oxidation by hot chlorinated water & superior protection against ultraviolet (UV) light. When mixed and extruded in the proper proportions, the two-component system results in a material that is crosslinkable by exposure to moisture or by immersion in hot water at 90-95°C. Can be processed using extrusion. Recommended for SDR 9 pipe applications, domestic continuous re-circulation systems, hot & cold water plumbing pipe. Complies with NSF Standard 14, NSF Standard 61, Canadian Standards Association standard CSA B137.5 and AWWA C-904. It is listed by NSF as PEX 5306, indicating compound meets requirements of ASTM F876 for outdoor exposure of up to 6 months while maintaining Cl-5 oxidative stability. PEXIDAN® SX505 by SACO AEI Polymers is a moisture-curable, silane cross-linkable ethylene-propylene rubber compound. It can be processed on largely standard thermoplastic extrusion equipment. The pre-graft component SX505 is mixed with a crosslinking catalyst masterbatch CM493 95:5 ratio. It is typically used in conjunction with cross-linkable semi-conducting material for conductor and insulation shields. Crosslinking is obtained by exposure to moist or hot water immersion only. It is designed for low and medium-voltage power cable insulation. PEXIDAN® SX505 has a shelf life of at least 6 months. PEXIDAN® V/T-2UV by SACO AEI Polymers is a moisture curable, halogenated, low-density, flame retardant XLPE system. It consists of a silane grafted base compound A-3001 and a catalyst masterbatch CAT-083FR-UV. When mixed and extruded in the proper proportions (50/50), the two components result in a material, curable by exposure to hot water. It is designed for low voltage building wire, control cable, photovoltaic and cable tray applications (UL styles SIS, XHHW, XHHW-2, RHW, RHW-2, PV VW-1; ‘SunRes’ and -40°C). It is RoHS-compliant as well as CSA-listed for RW90, RWU90, RPV90 RPVU90 and CIC, ‘SR’. Insulation made with PEXIDAN® V/T-2UV may be marked SUNRES or ‘SR’ in all colors and in all sizes per UL44, UL4703 and CSA C22.2 #38. PEXIDAN® SX408 by SACO AEI Polymers is a silane cross-linkable polyethylene for low voltage power cable insulation. It is suitable for processing by extrusion method. It is a pre-grafted base mixed with a crosslinking catalyst masterbatch CM401 in the ratio 95:5. In this grade, crosslinking is obtained by exposure to moist or hot water immersion only. PEXIDAN® SX408 has a shelf life of at least 6 months. PEXIDAN® J/T by SACO AEI Polymers is a moisture curable, low density, halogenated, flame-retardant, polyethylene (XLPE). It contains a silane pre-grafted compound A-3001 and a flame retardant catalyst masterbatch CAT-012FR. When mixed and extruded in proper proportions (60:40), it results in a material that is curable by exposure to 70-95°C hot water or even ambient moisture. It designed for SAE J1128 automotive wire applications including GXL, TXL and SXL type insulation. PEXIDAN® J/T complies with RoHS. PEXIDAN® SX409 by SACO AEI Polymers is a silane cross-linkable polyethylene for medium voltage power cable insulation. It is suitable for processing by extrusion method. Its pre-grafted base mixed with a crosslinking catalyst masterbatch CM401 in the ratio 95:5. It is typically used in conjunction with cross-linkable semi-conducting material for conductor and insulation shields. Crosslinking is obtained by exposure to moist or hot water immersion only. It has been specifically developed for cables operating up to 36kV. PEXIDAN® SX409 has a shelf life of at least 6 months. PEXIDAN® R/T by SACO AEI Polymers is a low density, halogen-free, moisture curable XLPE system. It consists of a silane pre-grafted base compound A-3001 and a catalyst masterbatch CAT-009. It is suggested for low voltage building wire insulation (CSA RW-90, RWU-90, AC-90, TECK-90). When mixed in the proper proportions (95/5), the two components result in a material, curable by exposure to 70-95°C hot water or even ambient moisture. PEXIDAN® R/T is listed with the Canadian Standards Association for use in RW-90 and RWU-90 XLPE applications and rated to -40°C. Complies with RoHS.
