PEXIDAN® SX505 by SACO AEI Polymers is a moisture-curable, silane cross-linkable ethylene-propylene rubber compound. It can be processed on largely standard thermoplastic extrusion equipment. The pre-graft component SX505 is mixed with a crosslinking catalyst masterbatch CM493 95:5 ratio. It is typically used in conjunction with cross-linkable semi-conducting material for conductor and insulation shields. Crosslinking is obtained by exposure to moist or hot water immersion only. It is designed for low and medium-voltage power cable insulation. PEXIDAN® SX505 has a shelf life of at least 6 months.
