CYROLITE® MD H12 by Roehm is an amorphous polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) grade. It exhibits excellent dimensional stability, exceptional ultra-violet light transmittance, superior optical clarity, maximum flow characteristics and outstanding scratch resistance.<br>
<ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>It provides medium melt flow rate and higher vicat softening point.</li>
<li>It can be processed in injection molding machines and extrusion lines with 3-
zone general purpose screws.</li>
<li>CYROLITE® MD H12 is recommended for medical devices requiring UV spectroscopy for fluid evaluation, like cuvettes, rotors, well plates, diagnostic test packs, microfluidics and crystallography trays.</li>
<li>It meets requirements of the US Pharmacopeia Class VI in colorless only, ISO
10993-1 and FDA 21 CFR 176.170 for food contact for all use conditions upto and including hot filled or pasteurized above 150°F.</li></ul> CYROLITE® Protect 2 by Roehm is an acrylic-based multipolymer compound. Is heavy metal-free, phthalate-free, bisphenol A (BPA)-free, natural latex-free and conflict minerals-free. Exhibits excellent chemical resistance to lipids and alcohol, excellent bonding and welding capabilities, excellent bonding to PVC tubing and excellent ductility. Shows resistance to plasticizers found in flexible PVC tubing and is EtO, gamma and E-beam sterilizable. Provides antimicrobial capabilities against a variety of microorganisms commonly found in healthcare facilities as tested by the JIS Z 2801 protocol. Is suitable for injection molding and extrusion lines with 3-zone general purpose screws. Is specifically designed for FDA regulated Class I or Class II medical devices covered by 510(k) PMN submission. Used in typical medical applications like luer connectors, IV spikes, needle hubs, adapters, fittings, filter housings, y-sites, valve assemblies, protection caps and covers and sharp needle dispenser receptacles. CYROLITE® Protect 2 is not recommended for blood handling devices. Complies with RoHS and meets the requirements of the United States Pharmacopeia Class VI and FDA in all conditions and including hot filled or pasteurized above 150°F (Condition 21 CFR 176.170).
