Akulon® PA66 by Omnia Plastica is a natural colored, hygroscopic, weatherproof, self-lubricating polyamide 66 (PA 66, Nylon 66) grade obtained by the polymerisation of hexamethylenediamine and adipic acid. Possesses stiffness, toughness and brittleness higher than that of polyamide 6, very high tensile stress and compressive strength. Exhibits easy machinability on automatic machine tools and good moisture absorption. Provides resistance to wear, aging and chemicals such as alkali, inorganic compounds and solvents. Can be processed by injection molding. It is suitable for molding into rods, sheets and tubes. Akulon® PA66 is recommended for gears, cams, pulleys, anti-wear guides, wheels, mechanical parts and food contact uses in some cases. Akulon® PA6 by Omnia Plastica is a natural colored, high viscosity, hygroscopic, self-lubricating, semi-crystalline, fatigue proof, general purpose polyamide 6 (PA 6, Nylon 6) grade. Possesses good toughness, low moisture content, high tensile stress and compressive strength. Exhibits dimensional stability, low friction coefficient and easy machinability. Offers excellent quality/price rate and sliding properties higher than other low viscosity polyamides. Provides alkali-, inorganic compound-, solvent-, mechanical-, weather-, aging-, shock and abrasion resistance. Can be processed by injection molding and extrusion. It is suitable for molding into rods, sheets and tubes. Recommended for gears, cams, pulleys, anti-wear guides in the mechanical industry, guides, bearings and wheels in ship-building, outdoor and food contact applications. AKULON PA6 complies with FDA Food Certification EC 10/2011. Akulon® PA6GF30 by Omnia Plastica is a black colored polyamide 6 (PA 6, Nylon 6) grade reinforced with 30% glass fiber and graphite. Exhibits excellent mechanical properties, high compression strength and tensile stress. Offers high resistance to abrasion, compression, wear, fatigue, aging, weather, low temperature, flexing, alkali, inorganic compounds and solvents. Can be processed by injection molding. It is suitable for molding into rods, sheets and tubes. Akulon® PA6GF30 is recommended for electrical, gears and high performance mechanical components for construction equipment or earthmovers. Akulon® PA6MG by Omnia Plastica is a self-lubricating, semi-crystalline, polyamide 6 (PA 6, Nylon 6) grade derived from Akulon 6 and modified by the addition of colorants and additives. Possesses high toughness, good moisture absorption, high tensile strength and compressive strength. It is hard and brittle when dry & shock resistant and pliable when conditioned. Offers excellent price/performance ratio, good resistance to abrasion (even in dusty or harsh), fatigue and U.V. light. Can be processed by injection molding. It is suitable for molding into rods, sheets and tubes. Akulon® PA6MG is recommended for gears and cams, pulleys, rollers, plates and supports, guides and outdoor applications with sun exposure. Akulon® PA66.6 GX by Omnia Plastica is a black colored, U.V. stabilized, hygroscopic, self-lubricating polyamide 66-6 (PA 66-6, Nylon 66-6) copolymer grade. Possesses excellent mechanical features, higher stiffness, good toughness, high tensile stress and compressive strength. Exhibits low friction coefficient, easy machinability on automatic tools, lathes and CNC centres. It can withstand atmospheric agents and low temperatures very well. Offers resistance to light, wear, U.V., impact, shock and chemicals such as alkali, inorganic compounds and solvents. Can be processed by injection molding. It is suitable for molding into rods, sheets and tubes. Akulon® PA66.6 GX is recommended for gears, cams, pulleys, anti-wear guides, construction and earthmoving equipment such as guides & bearings, wheels and other mechanical components for outdoor applications.
