Akulon® PA6 by Omnia Plastica is a natural colored, high viscosity, hygroscopic, self-lubricating, semi-crystalline, fatigue proof, general purpose polyamide 6 (PA 6, Nylon 6) grade. Possesses good toughness, low moisture content, high tensile stress and compressive strength. Exhibits dimensional stability, low friction coefficient and easy machinability. Offers excellent quality/price rate and sliding properties higher than other low viscosity polyamides. Provides alkali-, inorganic compound-, solvent-, mechanical-, weather-, aging-, shock and abrasion resistance. Can be processed by injection molding and extrusion. It is suitable for molding into rods, sheets and tubes. Recommended for gears, cams, pulleys, anti-wear guides in the mechanical industry, guides, bearings and wheels in ship-building, outdoor and food contact applications. AKULON PA6 complies with FDA Food Certification EC 10/2011.
