ecovio® 70 PS14H6 by BASF is an industrial and home compostable biopolymer for
paper coating. It contains 70-80% biobased carbon content renewable resources. It shows excellent barrier properties against liquids, fats, grease, and mineral oil as well as temperature stability at boiling water (up to 100°C). It is also characterized by outstanding adhesion to many types of paper and board and offers excellent welding and good scratch resistance.
- It has relatively high-water vapor transmission rate and good printability using alcohol and/or water-based colors.
- It supports organics recycling and helps to close the nutrient loop to achieve a circular economy.
- It can be processed in mono extrusion or as well as in co-extrusion with other compostable polymers.
