VICTREX FG™ 240 by Victrex is an unreinforced polyetheretherketone, a high performance food grade thermoplastic material. It excels in high temperature environments, delivering up to 2x drier capacity compared to PPS. Provides good chemical resistance to aggressive environments, suitable for sterilization. Suggested for applications that require mechanical properties at ambient and elevated temperatures. Possible applications are cookware, fryers and rice cookers, fridges, beverage dispensers. Other applications may include bottling and filling lines, meat, poultry, fish & dairy filtration and CIP equipment. VICTREX FG™ 240 offers long-term creep resistance, point and edge retention and low coefficient of thermal expansion. Also suitable for industrial aseptic processing and packaging. It results in 40% increase in lifetime for oven conveying, reducing both downtime and maintenance costs. Designed for processing by injection molding and extrusion. It also lowers component cost by 80% thereby improving performance by replacing machined metal parts. VICTREX FG™ 240 has food contact compliance for EU, FDA, China and South America as well as drinking water compliance to WRAS (UK).
