TROGAMID® CX9704 by Evonik is a high performance, crystal clear, permanently transparent polyamide which is made with aliphatic monomers (cycloaliphatic diamine and dodecanedioic acid). Possesses microcrystallinity, low viscosity, very low isotropic shrinkage, low water absorption, high level of UV resistance and dynamic strength, high transmission, excellent optical properties, high dimensional stability, very balanced mechanical property profile, high impact resistance even at low temperatures and high glass transition temperatures. Offers chemical-, abrasion-, scratch- and stress cracking resistance. Exhibits rigidity and high heat resistance. TROGAMID® CX9704 is suitable for processing by injection molding. Mostly used in the manufacturing of spectacle frames as it offers durability, robustness and flexibility to them. Also used in automotive industry, machinery and engineering, medical technology, glasses production, sports and recreation industry. Complies with EU Directive 2002/72/EC and DVGW(KTW- drinking water contact).
