PEG-12 Dimethicone. SeraSol® SC 81 by KCC Silicone acts as a foam stabilizer, Si/W emulsifier, humectant, plasticizer, conditioner and wetting agent. It is light & gentle, water soluble and PEG modified silicone. It is cold-processable and provides silicone properties to clear and aqueous based formulations. It exhibits pro-foaming quality which stabilizes rich & luxurious foam levels and provides soft & silky skin feel. It is also useful as a wet conditioning additive for shaving, bathing and shower products. Moreover, it shows plasticizing characteristics, useful for modifying the properties of hair styling polymers. SeraSol® SC 81 finds application in formulating shampoos, conditioners and hair-styling products.
