Nuosept® 44 by Troy Corporation (Arxada) acts as a wet-state preservative for aqueous systems. It is 50% aqueous solution of sodium hydroxymethylglycinate, derived from glycine. Nuosept® 44 prevents deterioration and spoilage during manufacture, storage and service. It is non-yellowing, low in toxicity and remains active at alkaline pH. Offers broad spectrum antimicrobial activity against fungi and bacteria. It is used in latex paints and inks. 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one. Non-metallic, no VOC formulation, non-settling, freeze-thaw stable, non-chlorinated liquid organic biocide. Used as an in-can preservative. May be incorporated into a product during any step of the manufacturing process. Is stable and effective over a wide pH range.
