SpeedBlock 1130

by Lambson (Sartomer)

SpeedBlock 1130 by Lambson (Sartomer) (Sartomer) is a a-[3-[3-(2H-Benzotriazol-2-yl)-5-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-4-hydroxyphenyl]-1-oxopropyl]-?-hydroxypoly(oxo-1,2-ethanediyl); a-[3-[3-(2H-Benzotriazol-2-yl)-5-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-4-hydroxyphenyl]-1-oxopropyl]-?-[3-[3-(2H-benzotriazol-2-yl)-5-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-4-hydroxyphenyl] -1-oxopropoxy]poly (oxy-1,2-ethanediyl) and polyethylene glycol. Acts as a UV absorber/light stabilizer. It may also be used together with other light stabilizers such as sterically hindered amines (HALS), examples of which are Speedblock 622, Speedblock 783, Speedblock 791, Speedblock 944 and Speedblock UV92. The combination of the two light stabilizers together can act synergistically and afford better protection than when using either component on its own. The product is miscible with all common solvents. Suitable for water borne and UV cured systems. SpeedBlock 1130 by Lambson (Sartomer) is developed for application in coatings, particularly used in industrial & automotive coatings, exterior surface coatings, metal coatings and wood coatings.

SpeedBlock UV-92

by Lambson (Sartomer)

SpeedBlock UV-92 by Lambson (Sartomer) is a blend of bis(1,2,2,6,6-pentamethyl-4-piperidyl) sebacate and methyl(1,2,2,6,6-penta-4-piperidyl) sebacate. Acts as a sterically hindered amines (HALS) UV absorber. Exhibits excellent light stability and provides UV protection. It is highly compatible with many formulations and also works synergistically in combination with other UV absorbers. SpeedBlock UV-92 is suitable for exterior surface industrial and automotive (non-acid catalysed) coatings, metal coatings and wood coatings. Recommended concentrations for clear and solid coats (one coat) is 0.5-2% (as a % of binder solids).

SpeedBlock UV-6

by Lambson (Sartomer)

SpeedBlock UV-6 by Lambson (Sartomer) is a 2-Hydroxy-4-n-octoxybenzophenone. Acts as a benzophenone type UV absorber. It has low odor & volatility during high temperature processing. Protects by preferentially absorbing harmful ultraviolet radiation and dissipating it as thermal energy. High concentrations are generally required along with sufficient thickness of the polymer for effective absorption to retard photo degradation. This pale yellow powder is readily compatible with a range of polymers such as alkyds, epoxy resin, unsaturated polyesters, polystyrenes and polymethacrylates. SpeedBlock UV-6 is suitable for coatings and varnishes. Typical addition level ranges from 0.1-0.5% depending on the substrate, processing conditions and applications.

SpeedBlock AO2

by Lambson (Sartomer)

SpeedBlock AO2 by Lambson (Sartomer) is a tetrakis[methylene(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyhydro-cinnamate)]methane. Acts as a sterically hindered phenolic antioxidant. A non-polluting, non-toxic antioxidant with good heat and water resisting performance. This highly efficient and non-discoloring stabilizer & antioxidant hinders thermally induced oxidation for of polymers like polyolefins (polyethylene, polypropylene, and polybutene-1), styrene homo- and copolymers & polyurethanes, plastics, synthetic fibres, elastomers. It works by trapping free radicals formed upon heating in the presence of oxygen and prevents the change of the resins mechanical properties. It can be used in combination with other additives such as co-stabilisers (eg phosphites, phosphonites), light stabilizers (see the Speedblock product range) and other functional stabilizers. Used in coatings. Recommended concentrations of 500 ppm to 2000 ppm of Speedblock AO2 should provide long thermal stability to the polymer. For polyolefins, use between 0.1% to 0.4% depending on substrate.

SpeedBlock AO1

by Lambson (Sartomer)

SpeedBlock AO1 by Lambson (Sartomer) is a tetrakis[methylene(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyhydro-cinnamate)]methane. Acts as a sterically hindered phenolic antioxidant. A non-polluting, non-toxic antioxidant with good heat and water resisting performance. This highly efficient and non-discoloring stabilizer & antioxidant hinders thermally induced oxidation of polymers such as organic substrates such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutene-1, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) resin, polystyrene resin, polyvinylchloride, engineering plastics and other petroleum products for polymerization. Recommended concentrations of 500 ppm to 2000 ppm of Speedblock AO1 should provide long thermal stability to the polymer. For polyoelfins, use between 0.1% to 0.5% depending on substrate.
