Offers high efficiency, reduces sagging and provides excellent leveling. Collacral® PU 70 is used in gloss and semi-gloss paints, exterior paints, textured finishes, wood coatings, roof coatings and wet room coatings. Rheovis® PE 1330 (DSX® 3000) by BASF is an excellent high-shear associative thickener. It is a hydrophobically modified polyether. It imparts excellent flow and is tin-free. It is recommended for low-volatile organic compound systems. Rheovis® PE 1330 (DSX® 3000) is used in high polyvinyl chloride paints, matt/interior, silk/semi-gloss, plasters, wood paints and stains, gloss-, exterior- and elastic paints. Rheovis® PU 1291 by BASF is a next-generation non-ionic, volatile organic compound-free mid-shear rheology modifier and associative thickener. It is a hydrophobic-modified ethoxylated urethane.

It offers excellent ICI thickening and easy handling. It is recommended for low-volatile organic compound systems.

It does not contain alkylphenol ethoxylates.

It is free of solvents, heavy metals, and tin.

Rheovis® PU 1291 is used in high PVC paints, matt/interior, silk/semi-gloss, wood paints and stains, plasters, gloss-, exterior-, and elastic paints.

Rheovis® PE 1320 NC (Old name: DSX® 2000) by BASF acts as a newtonian rheology modifier for aqueous coatings. It is a polyether solution in water/butyldiglycol. It improves high brush drag (ICI viscosity). It can be used alone or blended with other associative thickeners to give complete control of rheological properties. It offers very good application hiding, flow and leveling properties, resistance properties and roller application and spatter resistance. Rheovis® PE 1320 NC provides good gloss development with superior scrub and water resistance. It is recommended as the sole thickener for coating systems containing a high hydrophobic surface area such as low pigmented, small particle size, high gloss to semi-gloss coatings. Its dosage level is 1.0 – 3.0%. It has a shelf life of 1 year. Rheovis® CR2 by BASF acts as a rheological control additive for water-borne coating systems. It is designed to give a more newtonian rheology. It provides optimum flow and leveling properties for semi-gloss and high-build coatings.

It is less susceptible to microbiological attack than derivatives of cellulose.

It is most effective over a pH range of 7.5-10.

It should preferably be added at the final stage of manufacturing the coating since destabilization can occur at high shear stress.

The post-addition offers flexibility in viscosity adjustment from batch to batch.

After addition, the pH is adjusted with alkali, ammonia, or other bases to achieve full and stable viscosity.

The recommended dilution factor is 1 part of the additive and 5 parts of water.

Rheovis® CR2 has a recommended usage level of 1.0-3.5% based on total formulation.

Rheovis® PU 1191 by BASF is an associative thickener and rheology modifier with strong pseudoplasticity. It is a heavy metal-, solvent- and volatile organic compound-free solution of polyurethane in water/diluent. It offers superior sag resistance and low viscosity.

It supports film formation and pigment wetting for minimizing pigment settling.

It exhibits very good chemical and UV stability.

Rheovis® PU 1191 is used in aqueous clear & high gloss top coatings, as well as anti-corrosive paints and thick layer systems.

It allows for an easy incorporation with low sheer power.

Its recommended dosage is 0.3-1% on total formulation.

Rheovis® HS 1212 by BASF acts as a mid-shear thickener and rheology-control agent. It is a hydrophobic modified acrylic swellable copolymer emulsion (HASE) in water. It improves flow and is most effective between pH 8 to 10. It provides the rheology–control effect through extensive swelling of the high-molecular-weight polymer in combination with a hydrophobic component in alkali, in the presence of water. This leads to superior coatings-build up and low spattering, ideal for a broad range of matt to semi-gloss interior and exterior coatings. Rheovis® HS 1212 is suitable for water based coatings to increase viscosity in the mid-shear range. Its typical dosage is between 1.0 to 3.5 %. Rheovis® AS 1337 by BASF is an acrylic copolymer-based rheology modifier. It offers improved newtonian rheological properties and optimal flow properties. It is used in glossy emulsion paints for household and, low-duty industrial paints. The recommended dosage is 0.2-1.5 % based on the total formulation. Rheovis® AS 1337 complies with TSCA regulations. Rheovis® HS 1162 by BASF is a hydrophobically modified (HASE) anionic polyacrylate copolymer-based associative thickener. It shows thixotropic flow behavior, low water uptake, and no impact on wet adhesion even after long water contact. It is recommended for low-VOC systems. Rheovis® HS 1162 is used in high PVC paints, matt/interior, silk/semi-gloss, wood paints and stains, plasters, gloss, exterior- and elastic paints. It is ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001 certified. Rheovis® CRX by BASF acts as a rheological control additive for water-borne inks and coating systems. It is a highly effective acrylic polymer. It offers high efficiency over a pH range of 7.5-10. Rheovis® CRX suits coating systems designed for spray applications. The recommended use level is 1-3.5% of total formulation.
