Rheovis® PU 1214 EC by BASF is a non-ionic, associative rheological additive for aqueous systems. It is a low viscosity polyurethane polymer specially designed to improve the application of emulsion paints.
  • Provides superior hiding power during brush applications.
  • It offers low shear thinning and minimal roller spatter.
  • It exhibits good flow promoting properties and good scrub- & scuff resistance.
  • Rheovis® PU 1214 EC is used in interior and exterior paints.
  • It can be combined with other thickeners such as low molecular weight cellulose derivatives or acrylic thickeners to improve application and storage properties.
  • The recommended dosage level of is 0.3-1.0%, calculated on total formulation.
