Luwipal® 018 is recommended for general industrial coatings and transportation (passenger vehicle) applications.

Luwipal® 073 by BASF is melamine formaldehyde resin with balanced imino-methylolation degree. It shows high temperature reactivity and low acid reactivity. Luwipal® 073 is suitable for water-based coatings. It is recommended for high baking reactivity for furniture foil, coil, automotive and industrial applications. Highly reactive melamine-formaldehyde resin etherified with isobutanol. Used for hard, high-gloss baking finishes in combination with thermosetting alkyd, acrylic, and epoxy resins. Offers resistance to outdoor exposure, good compatibility and long shelf life. Recommended for metal-effect automotive finishes. Luwipal® 066 by BASF is a low viscosity, hexamethoxy methylmelamine resin. Used for acid-curing and baking finishes such as water-thinnable paints, high-solids paints in combination with low-viscosity alkyd or acrylic resins and solvent- & water-based paints in combination with short-oil to medium-oil alkyd resins modified by nondrying or slightly drying oils. Improves resistance to chemicals. It offers very high reactivity for furniture foil applications. Luwipal® 066 can be used as a crosslinker in coil and can coatings. Luwipal® 063 by BASF is highly reactive melamine-formaldehyde resin with imino content. It is etherified with methanol and dissolved in water. Used for making highly reactive baking finishes in combination with water-thinnable alkyd or acrylic resins. Can be combined with solvent-containing resins for producing conventional baking finishes. Luwipal® 063 is recommended for use in water-based coatings. It is designed for use in furniture foil and industrial applications. Luwipal® 072 by BASF is a highly reactive ethanol-etherified melamine-formaldehyde resin dissolved in isobutanol. Used for baking finishes, in combination with acrylic or alkyd resins for automotive finishes (solid-shade finishes or clear coats in metal effect finishes) and for water-thinnable paints. Luwipal® 072 shows very high compatibility with acrylic resins. Low viscosity, highly reactive butylated melamine–formaldehyde resin dissolved in n-butanol/o-xylene blend. Used for production of high-solids, hard, high-gloss baking finishes in combination with thermosetting alkyd, acrylic, and epoxy resins. Offers good outdoor performance and easy handling. Luwipal® B 017 by BASF is a highly reactive benzoguanamine etherified with n-butanol. Used in primers on nonferrous metals and chemical-resistant coatings for household appliances, coil and can coating primers. Can be used in combination with alkyd, saturated polyester, acrylic or epoxy resins for baking finishes. Luwipal® B 017 improves adhesion, flexibility and resistance to chemicals. It offers medium to high baking reactivity. Methanol-etherified melamine-formaldehyde resin dissolved in water. Used for water-thinnable, acid-catalyzed and baking finishes. Contains low free formaldehyde content. Can be used as a crosslinker in water-borne formulations based on alkyd resins or acrylic dispersions and in solvent-based finishes. Low viscosity, highly reactive melamine-formaldehyde resin etherified with n-butanol. Used for production of high-solids, hard, high-gloss baking finishes in combination with thermosetting alkyd, acrylic, and epoxy resins. Offers good outdoor performance. Recommended for automotive finishes.
